Philippine Journalism Research Conference 2015

The UP Department of Journalism is urging undergraduate students to submit their entries to the Philippine Journalism Research Conference to be held on March 13, 2015 at the UP Cine Adarna in Diliman, Quezon City.

Interested students may submit entries in the following categories: journalism projects, which may include feature stories; investigative reports, which may be for print, online or broadcast media; and academic research, including theses or full-research papers on journalism and media.

All entries must have been completed during the academic year 2014-2015 and must be submitted on or before February 23, 2015. For more information, visit the PJRC 2015 page or call the Journalism Department at 9206852.

This event is co-organized with the University of Santo Tomas (UST), the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), and the Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication (AIJC).

JNBF Investigative Reporting Program

The Journalism for Nation Building Foundation is inviting journalists, freelance or staff members of news organizations to submit in-depth and investigative reports on these themes: justice, corruption and transparency, peace and conflict, and environment.

Interested applicants must submit stories with a minimum of 10,000 words and a maximum of 30,000 words, including a three-page brief including subject, expected findings, plan of action and budget for research.

Three qualified applicants will be given a grant of P100,000 each and three months to complete their research and writing. Winning entries will be published as single e-books and can be excerpted for publication.
