2015 GADtimpala for Media
The Media and Gender Equality Committee (MGEC) is accepting nominations for the 2015 Gender and Development: Transformation and Institutionalization through Mainstreaming of Programs, Agenda, Linkages and Advocacies or GADtimpala for Media in recognition of gender-fair media and gender-balanced media practice.
The awards have four categories: Gender-Fair Radio Program, Gender-Fair TV Program, Gender-Fair Print Media, and Gender-Fair Film. Special citations may be given to deserving nominees. All entries must be media works released from January 2014 to December 2014.
Interested parties should submit the duly accomplished nomination form along with the necessary supporting documents in original or certified true copy form to the MGEC on or before Feb. 20, 2015.

Trust Women Photo Award (Thomson Reuters)
The Thomson Reuters Foundation is inviting photographers and photojournalists to submit images that capture the lives and stories of remarkable women around the world.
The Trust Women Photo Award aims to celebrate women who serve as an inspiration to their families, communities, and society. Contestants must submit one photograph capturing the theme: “Women Make It Happen.”
Nine finalists will receive a Microsoft Lumia 930 device and will be required to submit additional photos using their device. One selected photo will be showcased at the Trust Women Conference in London to be held on November. The winner will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to attend a mobile journalism training course.
The deadline for submission of entries is Feb. 19, 2015.
