11th DAYS JAPAN International Photojournalism Awards
DAYS JAPAN is accepting entries for its 2015 photojournalism awards.
The contest is open to all photographers and photo journalists around the world.
Interested applicants may submit up to 15 photographs “asserting that the dignity of human beings and nature are being trampled upon, and photographs advocating the dignity of humans and nature.” The photos must have been taken between January 2013 and December 2014.
Applicants must submit the photos along with the completed application form, which can be downloaded in the DAYS JAPAN website and a short photographer’s biography of not more than 100 words. All requirements must be sent via post at The 11th DAYS JAPAN International Photojournalism Awards2015 Takeuchi Building 402, 1-37-19 Matsubara, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo 156-0043, Japan.
Deadline for submission of entries is on January 15, 2015.

2015 WE Journalism Awards
Diageo’s Plan W, Empowering Women through Learning’ programme, is accepting submission for the 2015 WE (Women’s Empowerment) Journalism Awards.
The award aims to “inspire and honour journalists who highlight women’s issues in Asia Pacific with the goal of advancing the quality of reporting in this area.”
All journalists from Asia Pacific reporting on women issues may apply for the awards.
Interested journalists may submit work in the following category: Print Story of the Year, Broadcast Story of the Year, Online Story of the Year, Photo Story of the Year, Journalist of the Year, and Media Title of the Year. All the entries submitted should be published or released between January 1 and December 31, 2014. Other requirements for each category can be found at the awards website.
Other parties may also nominate a journalist for the awards.
Deadline for submission of stories and nominations is on December 31.
