2014 Wall Street Journal Fellowship
The Wall Street Journal, in association with the New York University (NYU), is accepting applications for the 2014 Wall Street Journal Asia Fellowship.
The fellowship gives promising Asian journalists the opportunity to join a master’s program in Business and Economic Reporting at Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute in NYU.
Interested applicants must have at least one year of professional experience in an English-language publication in Asia and must be fluent in English and at least one Asian language.
The fellowship includes tuition fees for two semesters of the three semester’s program and a total stipend of USD 24,000 for travel to New York, living expenses, at least one trip home and other incidental costs.
The deadline for applications is on March 7.

2014 United Nations Journalism Fellowship
The Dag Hammarskjöld Fund for Journalists is accepting applications for the 2014 United Nations Journalism Fellowships.
The United Nations Journalism Fellowship provides an opportunity to “observe international diplomatic deliberations at the United Nations, to make professional contacts that will serve them for years to come, to interact with seasoned journalists from around the world, and to gain a broader perspective and understanding of matters of global concern.”
The fellowship is available for print, radio, television or online journalists age 25 to 35. Interested applicants must be from a developing country and currently working full time.
The fellowship covers travel, accommodation expenses and an allowance.
The deadline for applications is on March 31.

Ulrich Wickert Award for Children’s Rights
The Ulrich Wickert Foundation is accepting applications for its journalism award on reports for children’s rights.
The Ulrich Wickert Award for Children’s Rights honors excellent stories from international and local journalists focusing on the rights of children. A special award is also given to boys and girls in developing countries who advocate children’s rights.
All print, radio, television and online journalists are eligible to apply.
Applications may be in any of three categories:
International. The award is given to a journalist from one of the 50 Plan program countries for the coverage of issues on the rights of children.
Germany/ Austria. The award is given to journalists in Germany and Austria for stories focusing on the rights of girls in one of the 50 Plan program countries.
Special Prize. The award is given to children or teenagers who advocate children’s rights through participation in Plan media projects.
Submitted stories must be in English French, Spanish or German and must have been published or broadcast between January 1 and December 31, 2013.
The deadline for applications is on March 31.
