CMFR/ Philippines – Four unidentified men on two motorcycles ambushed a television news team in Marawi City on December 26. Marawi City is 1497 kilometers south of Manila. No one in the team was hurt.

Militia Leader Threatens to Ambush Journalists in Mindanao


CMFR/ PHILIPPINES – A leader of an anti-communist militia group implicated in the killing of several members of an indigenous people's community in Mindanao allegedly threatened to ambush Mindanao-based journalists who would cover the 47th anniversary of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) on December 26.

Men in Break-in Try Identified


CMFR/ Philippines -- Two of the armed men who tried to break into Aksyon Radyo station in Iloilo City and took one of the station's close circuit television (CCTV) cameras on November 19 have been identified. Iloilo city is 600 kilometers south of Manila.
