Malaya must have run out of stories last Sept. 11 when it published two similar stories on its front page that day.
Both reports discussed the public’s possible reaction to the then upcoming Sandiganbayan decision on the plunder and perjury cases against detained President Joseph Estrada.
The only difference between the reports “Exercise tolerance, police told” and “Reaction to guilty verdict is Erap’s worry” was that the latter was longer by eight paragraphs. But the whole text of the first report was contained in the second.
Both came out next to each other on the lower fold of the paper.
