Mindanao Media Fellowship: Reporting on Children

Mindanao-based media practitioners may join a workshop on reporting child rights and issues. Deadline is on July 31, 2009.

Editors, reporters, photojournalists, directors, segment producers and writers below 50 years old who belong to Mindanao news publications and broadcast (radio and television) news and public affairs departments for at least three years may apply for the fellowship.

Applicants must submit the application form along with the story proposal and latest sample work such as an article, script, or report.

The training program, which will start in Sept. 2009, will “provide training on
reporting, writing, interviewing and other media techniques on the coverage of the topic.” It is organized by Probe Media Foundation, Inc. (PMFI), with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund, in cooperation with the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas, and Philippine Press Institute.
