CHEERS TO CNN Philippines and Rappler for their informative “how to” pieces on the proper way to vote in the upcoming May 9, 2016 elections.

CNN Philippines’ May 3 “Election dos and don’ts: How to vote on May 9” explained the 12-step procedure, accompanied by brief explanations. It included tips on what to do should a voter encounter problems.

Rappler also did a similar report, but its reportage included a section about PWDs and illiterate voters as well as suggestions on how to make polling precincts PWD-friendly. (“PHVote 101: How to vote on May 9,” May 4, 2016)

With Election day just a few days away, initiatives from the media reminding the public of these simple procedures and guidelines should prove helpful to voters still unaware of the process involved in casting their votes.
