Global guide to airports of tomorrow,” published on July 17, reported that  a recent study titled “Reinventing the Airport Ecosystem” by Amadeus, a leading travel-technology partner and transaction processor for the global-travel and tourism industry, “identified consumer frustrations with today’s airport experience and mapped out how airports will re-invent themselves up to 2025 with new operating models that will also ramp up revenues beyond the traditional aviation income.”

The study described the new airport models that could attract and please more passengers. It explained that “(A)bout 69 percent of travelers are seeking improved security processes. About 81 percent of passengers also expect airports to give a sense of place, which reflects local culture and makes the airport destination and flight part of their total trip experience.”

The report explained what passengers expect when arriving in airports and how the airports in the country can reinvent themselves to attract and please more passengers.
