CHEERS TO ANC Presents: Road to 2013 for being a regular forum for discussion of issues related to the 2013 elections. Road to 2013 is among the first television specials already preparing the public for next year’s polls.

Last June 19, the program discussed the benefits and challenges of the 2013 elections, including the automation system and how it will be different from the last polls. Guests included election commission chair Sixto Brillantes Jr., Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting national chair Henrietta de Villa, Teachers Dignity Coalition (TDC) national chair Benjo Basas, and Smartmatic Asia president Cesar Flores.

The June 27 episode continued the discussion on poll automation next year, focusing on whether the precinct count optical scan (PCOS) machines that will be used can pass scrutiny and challenges of the elections. Guests were National Movement for Free Elections national chair Corazon de la Paz Bernardo, election commission spokesperson James Jimenez, and Flores.
