World Media Congress to be held in Tagaytay

THE INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION (ICOM) is inviting members of the media from all over the globe to the World Media Congress: Synergy Boot Camp to be held from October 9 to 12, 2016, at the Carmelite Missionaries Center in Tagaytay City, Philippines.

Following the theme “Synergy in Media: Empowering People in Facing Global Challenges,” the event aims to gather international and local media practitioners, students and educators to share the role of mass media in today’s context. ICOM started the Congress in 1930 and has since held the event triennially.

For this year’s media congress, topics for discussion are: “ecology” mass media and climate justice; spirituality and media; current practices, trends and predictions in the media; moral and ethical consideration of social media and its influence to society; and the ethical consideration in media and its application to social life.
