Feliciano Maragay, 68
VETERAN REPORTER and columnist Feliciano “Fel” Maragay died on November 28, 2019. He was 68.
A longtime political reporter, he covered the presidencies of Corazon Aquino, Fidel Ramos, Joseph Estrada and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as the Manila Standard’s Malacañang reporter. Maragay was also a veteran of the Senate beat and one of the Standard’s columnists.
Maragay was a political science graduate from the University of Santo Tomas (UST), where he was also the assistant features editor of UST’s official student publication, The Varsitarian. He wrote critical pieces about the Marcoses, particularly about the corruption and human rights abuses that characterized the regime.
He is survived by his wife Judy and their children William Louie, Sheila, Carmella, Dave, Joseph and Judy Fe.
