Fellowship for Trauma and Conflict Reporting

SENIOR ANDÂ mid-career journalists who wish to expand their knowledge of emotional trauma and psychological injury are invited to apply for the 18th Ochberg Fellowship.
The Fellowship is named in honor of Dr. Frank Ochberg, a pioneer in the study of trauma. It was established in 1999 by the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma in partnership with the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.
Print, broadcast and digital reporters, photographers, editors or producers with at least five years of professional journalism experience are eligible to apply. Twelve fellows will be selected to attend a week-long program of intensive discussions and seminars involving trauma and mental health experts, journalists, and other organizations offering intellectual engagement and peer learning. The program will be held from January 16 to 21, 2017 in Columbia University, New York City.
Interested applicants must submit their CV or resume, letter of interest, two relevant work samples, and two recommendation letters from current or past supervisors, editors or colleagues.
