Emergency Fund for Women Journalists

AS SUPPORT in times of crisis, the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) is offering an emergency fund for women journalists of any nationality.
Staff or freelance women reporters who have been working as full-time journalists for at least six months are eligible to apply for the assistance. The applicant must indicate that her work as a journalist puts her in situations of crisis.
The emergency fund provides successful applicants with: 1)Â small grants for psychological and medical care for incidents directly related to threats and crises; 2) three months of temporary relocation assistance in the event of crisis or threat;Â 3) legal aid to counter threats of imprisonment or censorship; and 4) non-financial assistance in the form of information about additional access to resources.
