Climate Change Fellowship

The GroundTruth Project, a nonprofit organization providing in-depth reporting on social justice issues, is seeking candidates for five fellowships in November.

Journalists from different media platforms from any country are welcome to apply. Selected fellows will travel to France and cover the 2015 Paris Climate Conference in December. They will come up in-depth, multimedia package to be reporter over the next three years. The four-week fellowship will require fellows to produce live coverage of the event and attend trainings and discussions with veteran correspondents.

All work produced with the GroundTruth Project team will be featured on all WGBH News platforms and will be offered to the Project’s national editorial partners.

 Agri Journalism Awards

In recognition of the most outstanding and relevant agricultural stories, the ninth  Bright Leaf Agri Journalism Award is now open for nominations.

The competition is open to all professional Filipino journalists aged 18 and above. Entries must have been published or broadcast in print, TV, radio between September 1, 2014 to August 31, 2015. Photo entries are also accepted.

The categories for the Bright Leaf Awards are: Agriculture Story of the Year, Agriculture Photo of the Year, Tobacco Story of the Year, Tobacco Photo of the Year,  Best Agriculture Television Program or Segment, Best Agriculture Radio Program or Segment, Best Agriculture News Story-National,  Best Agriculture News Story-Regional, Best Agriculture Feature Story-National, Best Agriculture Feature Story-Regional, and the Oriental Leaf Award, which is given to those who have won a Bright Leaf Award in any category for five consecutive years. Winners will receive cash prizes, iPads, trophies, and travel opportunities.
