Fellowship on Road Safety
The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) with the support of the World Health Organization (WHO), is inviting journalists to apply for the Journalists’ Fellowship on Road Safety.
Fifteen journalists from around the world will be selected to attend the 2nd Global High-Level Conference on Road Safety to be held in Brazil from November 17-19, where they will be given full access to high-level discussions and interaction with 1,500 experts and organizations. The program will cover all Fellowship-related costs including travel expenses, accommodations, and registration.
Interested applicants must submit the following requirements: 1) resume or CV, 2) a 500-word essay detailing motivation for seeking the fellowship, 3) a proposed idea for a road safety reporting project which may include data and digital tools, 4) a letter of endorsement from their editor or newsroom manager, and 5) published or broadcast work samples.

Fellowship for Trauma and Conflict Reporting
The 17th Ochberg Fellowship is now open to senior and mid-career journalists who wish to expand their knowledge of emotional trauma and psychological injury and apply this knowledge in reporting conflict and tragedy.
Fellows will attend a weeklong program of intensive discussions and seminars involving trauma and mental health experts, journalists, and other organizations offering intellectual engagement and peer learning. The program will be held from January 18 to 23, 2016 in Columbia University, New York.
Interested applicants must submit their CV or resume, letter of interest, two relevant work samples, and two recommendation letters from current or past supervisors, editors or colleagues.
