International Women’s Media Foundation – Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship
The International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) is now accepting applications for the 11th Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship.
One woman journalist, affiliated or working freelance with at least three years of professional experience in journalism and working in print, broadcast, or digital media, will be selected to complete the seven-month program from August 2015 to May 2016.
The fellow will based at the Center for International Studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts as a research associate. She will be granted free access to MIT courses and other academic opportunities, along with internships in media outlets such as The Boston Globe and The New York Times.
Travel arrangements and in-country logistics will be handled by the IWMF. The Fellow will also receive a monthly stipend to cover housing, meals, and ground transportation, plus a health insurance during the program.

1st Online International Master in Communication Arts for ASEAN
The Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University in Thailand is launching its first distance learning Master in Communication Arts for ASEAN program, a two-year interdisciplinary program developed in collaboration with experts from the academe, the media, NGOs and civil society organizations in ASEAN, Europe and USA.
The program offers online distance classes in compliance with the ASEAN culture and context- sensitive Communication Arts curriculum based on the standards of Thailand’s Ministry of Education. It aims to develop students’ critical thinking skills and research knowledge, and their capacity to act on social, cultural, political, economic issues in ASEAN.
