Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI) columnist Neal H. Cruz, died Tuesday, July 28, due to a head injury. He was 85; New Zealand TV journalist Anzac Pikia died Sunday, July 26, after suddenly collapsing at a café in Rotorua. The cause of his death was still uncertain. He was 35.

Boston medical journalist Dr. Murray Feingold died Friday, July 17, due to a rare lung disease, according to his family. He was 84; Crime and court reporter Christy Arboscello died Monday, July 20, after a nine-year battle with cancer. She was 34.

Iranian American journalist Hamid Golpira died Tuesday, July 7, after a six-month battle with lung cancer. He was 55; Pioneering broadcast journalist Marlene Sanders, one of the first women television journalists in the US, died Tuesday, July 14 of cancer. She was 84.
