LETICIA “LETI” Boniol, an Inquirer.net editor passed away on June 14 due to a lingering illness. She was 75.

EMMARIEL ARES, a journalist for CDN Digital passed away in hospital on May 11. She was in the Intensive Care Unit for nine days, receiving treatment for injuries sustained when she was hit by a speeding motorcycle. She was 25.

AWARD-WINNING PHOTOJOURNALIST Richard Reyes of the Philippine Daily Inquirer suffered a heart attack and passed away suddenly on April 9, 2025. He was 34.

JULIE ALIPALA, who reported on Mindanao for the Philippine Daily Inquirer, passed away on April 3, 2025, after a brave battle with endometrial cancer. She was 58. 

Sheila Villaflores Crisostomo, 54


SHEILA CRISOSTOMO, reporter for the daily newspaper, The Philippine Star, for more than three decades, died on January 15 at the East Avenue Medical Center two days after suffering from a stroke. Her brother, Allan Crisostomo, made the announcement on  Facebook.  

Chino Trinidad, 56


VETERAN SPORTS journalist Manolo “Chino” Trinidad passed away on Saturday night, July 13. The sportscaster suffered a heart attack while on his way to a meeting. He was 56.

Kathleen Okubo, 71


CORDILLERA VETERAN journalist and Martial Law survivor Kathleen Okubo passed away on April 7 after a long battle with several illnesses. She was 71.

Jeremias “Jerry” Tundag, 70


VETERAN JOURNALIST Jeremias “Jerry” Suico Tundag passed away on December 8. He was 70.

PHILIPPINE DAILY Inquirer columnist Rina Jimenez David died on Sunday morning, November 12. She was 68.

Conrado de Quiros, 72


LONGTIME PHILIPPINE Daily Inquirer columnist Conrado de Quiros passed away on November 6, his brother Paul de Quiros announced in a Facebook post late on Monday. He was 72.
