Kiplinger Journalism Fellowships

The Kiplinger Program in Public Affairs Journalism is accepting applications for its 2014 fellowships.

The fellowship aims to help journalists to “unite rigorous reporting with digital storytelling — so they can learn how to engage in social media and develop innovative online projects that inform wide audiences.”

Fellows will spend a week at Ohio State University, USA, for  intensive training in creative reporting, investigative reporting and public affairs reporting; using online data tools and social media; and  ethical issues in social media.

Print, broadcast and online journalists with at least five years’ experience in the field are eligible to apply.

Interested applicants must send a bio; a short explanation of how the Kiplinger Fellowship would benefit them and their news organizations; links to three recent stories; and two references.

The deadline for applications is November 30.
