JEERS TO Interaksyon for  a  headline contrary to  the content of one of its articles.

Last Aug. 2, TV5’s news website reported that the southern border area of the country, specifically Sulu “has been red-flagged by the United States as a possible transport route for weapons of mass destruction by terrorist groups.” It cited the 2011 Country Report on Terrorism by the U.S. State Department. The 2011 report looked at allegedly illicit operations in the numerous islands of the Sulawesi Sea and Sulu Archipelago area. The article was headlined “Southern Philippines a possible WMD smuggling route – US State Dept” (emphasis by PJR Reports)

Interaksyon removed the word “possible” and instead declared definitely that “‘Southern Philippines  (is) part of WMD smuggling route’”

Jess Baltazar, a follower of the Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility (CMFR)’s Facebook page, flagged CMFR and PJR Reports about the Interaksyon banner and report.
