On LPG taxis

Cheers to the Philippine Daily Inquirer for its series that looked at the alleged negative effects of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)-fueled taxis.

Taxis that use LPG as fuel—which is cheaper than regular gasoline—may pose health risks to drivers and commuters, the paper said in a Nov. 3 to 5 series. The Inquirer interviewed taxi drivers who use LPG, of which the majority had reported contracting medical ailments. The series also reported engine-related problems when using LPG as fuel.

Leaders of the LPG conversion industry were also interviewed. They debunked claims on the allegedly harmful effects of LPG.
