Kampanyaserye 2025: What the public needs to know about the elections

CHEERS TO ABS-CBN News’Kampanyaserye 2025 for its informative discussion of numerous election-related concerns. Enhanced by the use of visual aids, the program provides updated content about the forthcoming election, priming the audience for their participation in the May vote.

“Kampanyaserye 2025” was uploaded by ABS-CBN News across its social media platforms on February 11, the official start of the national elections campaign. The series has so far discussed a range of topics, including the role of campaign jingles and content creators in the elections, political dynasties, the Omnibus Election Code, and election-related violence, among others. 

The following exemplifies the innovative approach to help the public understand the current courting of voters for the May election:  

  •  Published on February 11: “Campaign jingles: Uso pa ba ang harana… sa halalan?” The discussion led by Lyza Aquino went behind the scenes to check out the process of creating campaign jingles. It may all look easy, but it takes time and creativity to get it right; thus, the listing of dos and don’ts in the creation of a winning campaign jingle. 
  • Published on February 27: “Pwedeng kitain ng influencers, content creators tuwing halalan, alamin” Victoria Tulad examined the role of content creators and social influencers, using various strategies to reach out to voters, including tactics for  “attack,” “applause” and “avert” — the latter dealing with problems that are suddenly thrown at candidates during a campaign. 
  • Published on March 6: “40 taon na ang Omnibus Election Code. Panahon na bang baguhin ito?” Johnson Manabat reviewed the old election law and argued for the need to update the document, which predates even the current  Constitution, pointing to urgent reform to include the prohibition of political dynasties and amendments to the party-list system. 
  • Published on March 27: “Political dynasties nagiging mataba”  Vivienne Gulla focused on the role of political dynasties in the perpetration of corruption and poverty in the country, calling attention to anti-dynastic bills that are still pending in Congress.  
  • Published on April 10 “Karahasan sa halalan, ano ang ugat?” Jeff Caparas highlighted the Ampatuan Massacre as the worst election-related violence in the country. The video campaign focused on the co-relation between  political dynasties and electoral violence, with both being present in “election hotspots.” 

ABS-CBN’s “Kampanyaserye 2025” reviewed problems that have hounded elections in the past. With innovation, however, the program has stimulated public interest and attention, engaging the audience in ways that resonate with their own ideas.
