Aries Rufo Investigative and Explanatory Reporting Program launched

THE JOURNALISM for Nation Building Foundation (JNBF) launched last September 19 the Aries Rufo Investigative and Explanatory Reporting Fellowship Program for Filipino journalists. The fellowship is in honor of the late award-wining investigative reporter Aries Rufo who passed away September 19, 2015.
Rufo wrote for Newsbreak and Rappler. His works exposed corruption in the courts, the church and the government.
Running in two cycles in 2020, the grants will be awarded to journalists from across the country – one in based in Manila and one in the provinces. Two fellows will be chosen for each cycle, who will receive a PHP70,000 professional fee to be released in tranches and a PHP30,000 allowance for research, transportation and communication.
