ABC-CBN partners with different media organizations, re-launches ANC
Network giant ABS-CBN has teamed up with BusinessMirror, BusinessWorld, The Philippine Star, and Newsbreak.
A press release by ABS-CBN said the network hopes to provide “comprehensive analysis, compelling interviews, and world news with a Filipino perspective.
The station has also re-launched ANC with new programs like K, a show hosted by Korina Sanchez that will explain local and foreign news; Square Off, a debate show; The Explainer, hosted by Manolo Quezon, which seeks to make issues more accessible using the Internet; and Media Focus, a program on media issues hosted by Probe Productions head Cheche Lazaro.
Nominations open for Freda Utley Prize
The Freda Utley Prize is offering $10,000 to an institute that has proven most effective in advancing freedom in difficult parts of the world.
This annual prize, established by the US-based Atlas Economic Research Foundation, will give the prize to a single winner that best demonstrates excellence in reaching a broad audience or having a substantial impact on opinion makers, so that concepts relating to freedom become better understood.
