John S. Knight Journalism Fellowship
Journalists, journalism executives, and journalism innovators are encouraged to apply to the John S. Knight Journalism Fellowship hosted by the Stanford University.
Up to 20 applicants from the US and around the world will be selected for the 10-month fellowship, during which they will have access to Stanfordās premier facilities, institutes, centers, and classes taught by top-notch professors, among others.
The fellowship also grants a stipend of USDĀ 65,000 and supplements for housing, childcare, health insurance and moving expenses. Tuition costs will also be covered.

2015 UN Ranan Lurie Political Cartoon Awards
The United Nations is now accepting entries to its 2015 Ranan Lurie Political Cartoon Awards.
Any professional individual may send up to two cartoon reproductions published anywhere and in any language from Sept. 1, 2014 to Oct. 15, 2015. These cartoons must reflect āthe importance of human dignity, mutual respect and friendship among nations, as well as economic consideration and environmental responsibilities towards each other.”
Cash prizes for the top three entries are as follows: USDĀ 10,000 for the first prize, USDĀ 5,000 for the second prize, and USDĀ 3,000 for the third prize. The top 3 winners, along with ten honorable mentions, will also be awarded plaques.
Winners will be announced via the worldwide press and on the UN website on Jan. 15, 2016.
