Online Course on Olympic Games and the Media
The Olympic Studies Centre at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is offering a free online course on the Olympic Games and the media through the Coursera platform.
The course aims to analyze the role of the media in constructing the Olympic Games through historical, contextual, and technological approaches. Production, media operations, and TV rights and sponsorship programs will also be discussed in the course.
For the five-week long course, short videos and lectures will be provided to students. Weekly tests will also be administered. Classes will begin on October 19.

Fellowship for Lung Health Issues
The Washington, DC-based National Press Foundation is offering all-expenses-paid journalism fellowships to the 46th Union World Conference on Tuberculosis and Lung Health in Cape Town, South Africa.
Fellows will be granted access to conferences, presentations, and discussions with the world’s top researchers and experts on pulmonary issues such as tuberculosis, TB/HIV, COPD, and asthma. Training will be held from December 1 to 3, and journalists will continue attending conferences until December 6.
Interested applicants must be working journalists with at least three years of experience covering health issues. They must accomplish the form on the Tuberculosis Research Media Training page for their application.
