19th Lopez Jaena Community Journalism Workshop
The UP College of Mass Communication is now accepting applications for fellowship for the 19th Lopez Jaena Community Journalism Workshop to be held from October 11 to 17 this year.
Full-time print, broadcast, online, or multimedia journalists are encouraged to apply. Limited slots will be available for journalism educators and students. Interested applicants must submit an application letter, resume, two published or broadcast news reports, an endorsement letter from their editor, local press club president or an alumnus of the Lopez Jaena Workshop, and a proposed story plan for an investigative report that complies with this year’s theme: migration and human trafficking.

Application for Grants: Fund for Investigative Journalism
Journalists are invited to apply for a reporting grant sponsored by the Fund for Investigative Journalism based in Washington, DC, USA.
The Fund accepts application for projects that will investigate  and expose wrongdoing such as corruption and misuse of power in the public and private sectors. Interested applicants must submit their proposed story and detailed budget plan, resume, two samples of written work, and a letter of commitment signed by the editor or news executive committing to publish the story.
Grants averaging $5,000 will be awarded to cover out-of-pocket expenses such as travel costs, document collection, and equipment rental. The deadline for the Fall application cycle is on September 21 at 5 pm, Eastern Time.
