McLaughlin, 76
AMERICAN JOURNALIST Bill McLaughlin died last March 7. He was 76.
McLaughlin’s career spanned 27 years. He worked as reporter for CBS News in 1966 and headed bureaus in Germany and Lebanon in the 1960s and 70s respectively. He covered the Vietnam War, the North Vietnamese offensive, the Hue and Kontum City battles, the conflict between India and Pakistan in 1971, and the Arab-Israeli War in 1973. McLaughlin is survived by his wife, son, granddaughter, and stepson.
Singleton, 77
AMERICAN JOURNALIST Donald Edward Singleton died last March 2. He was 77.
Singleton worked as reporter and re-write man for the New York Daily News. He covered the 1971 Attica prison riots and the 1988 Lockerbie, Scotland terrorist bombing. Singleton was survived by his two daughters, son, four grandchildren, and brother.
