GROUPS MARCHED to Mendiola in Manila on 23 November 2016 and conducted a brief program to commemorate the 7th year since the Ampatuan (Maguindanao) Massacre, where 58 men and women, 32 of whom were journalists and media workers, were killed in an incident of election-related violence. It has been called the worst attack against journalists in history. Participants of the activity shared solidarity messages and calls for justice and the end of impunity in the country.
